Oliver! Bronx Theatre reviews
Awesome Night
"Kate Earl didn't get much love from the Birmingham faithful but she got out there and did her thing, you go girl! Matchbox 20 and the Goo Goo Dolls were amazing from my 9th row seats!
John and the Goo Goo Dolls band put on an awesome show playing all the hits like Name, Iris, Slide, etc. The new songs Come to Me and Rebel Beat were great, especially with the words across the screen. The stage set was cool with bright lights and lots of screens. Awesome show from the guys from Buffalo!
Oliver far surpassed my expectations. Rob's flawless vocals and the awesome set with three video cubes were impressive. He sounded just as good, if not better than the CD's. Despite sweating through three shirts during the hot and humid night, the ladies didn't seem to mind! The classics like Unwell, Push, 3AM, etc. were loved by the crowd. The band was in perfect tune and didn't skip a beat. Rob gave plenty of love to the crowd and credited Birmingham with their success.
Drop what you're doing and get tickets if this tour comes anywhere near you! You'll be glad you did!"
